Brief History

The school is said to have started as a primary school by the Methodist church in Kenya in 1940.

In 1963 it started to operate as a mixed secondary school and in 1969 it split with the girls moving to the current Ribe Girls school while the boys remained.

The school is located about 16 kms from the Nairobi-Mombasa highway at Mazera junction along Kaloleni-Mombasa road.

The school land is approximately 30 acres, however, the school does not have the land ownership documents. The title deed is said to be under custody of the sponsor, The Methodist Church in Kenya.

The school’s  5 year strategic plan that ended in 2017 was to make Ribe Boys the most competitive National school in Kenya. The school has 25 Tsc teachers and 12  employed by the BOM . Most of the teachers are youthful and dedicated to team work in all the departments.

Generally, the school environment is calm and conducive for learning
